  1. I agree two of my favorites as well PDW 1 and the Duke 2… But I try to model my game off of Norm’s… Pete is a freak of nature, to have a back swing that high with a 16 pound ball and weigh 145 soaking wet is nothing but amazing!!!

    1. Agreed. He’s about as thin as a rail, but he’s very strong. He can be tough as nails…but one thing that has disturbed me is that, from time to time, he definitely loses control of his emotions. He can be a real hothead, and there’s been more than once that his actions have gotten him into trouble. However, as time went on, you kinda got used to it. He retired last week, so, if we get a chance, let’s see what the future holds for him.

  2. “Norm’s bowling one of the greatest players in the history of the game…”

Norm is one of the greatest players in the history of the game too – get it right.

  3. I had the pleasure to meet Norm Duke at a product demo in Sainte-Julie, Québec. He helped me understand some key differences between balls. A true, genuine class act this Norm!

  4. I know people made fun of Pete a little bit when he adopted a Pro Wrestling persona. But it single handedly saved a dying PBA back then by reigniting interest in it. Mostly because he was doing the whole PDW thing, while seemingly being in the stepladder every single week for a time. It’s one thing to start playing a character. It’s a whole other thing to do it, but then start winning.

  5. Pete Weber wins the game, and hams it up for the crowd. I guess that, when you win, you kinda have the RIGHT to hotdog for yourself, and for all of those people. Pete Weber has been known for being animated…and, once in a while, he’s also been known for throwing a bit of a temper tantrum! He can be very thin-skinned sometimes. However, that’s just Pete doing his thang! He retired last week, and there’s going to be quite a few people that are going to miss him… except the temper tantrums. Pete Weber-What a Legend! Norm Duke is a true class act. You don’t really see a whole lot of emotion from him, the way you might see Pete react. Those two are something else, though. Put these two together, and you’ll always get a great match!
