  1. Great win, but it’s pretty sad and pathetic knowing that this is a major title, and the top winner only got $30k out of it. Since 2007, it has gone from being $100k for the top prize, down to $60k (2009), then down to $50k (2010-2016), and now down to $30k. It really makes it feel like it’s not as big of an accomplishment now unfortunately.

    1. The reason why bowling rewards are being reduced is because bowling is much easier now. With reactive balls, the 300 isn’t as uncommon as it once was. 800 series is more common. Splits are easier. The sport consistently gets easier, there’s more and more amateur circuit and pros entering the leagues. It’s a saturated sport. Therefore, it’s lost value.

    2. Still a huge accomplishment, for someone doing what they love. It is unfortunate our sport doesn’t bring in the interest it used to. but that doesn’t take away from being among the worlds best

  2. The semifinal match is epic. One of my favorite finishes. Never give up. Also nice to see the good sportsmanship between Hoskins and Kloempken.

  3. I like the come from behind by Hoskins. It just shows that you should never give up, anything can happen.

  4. Haven’t gotten through the whole tournament yet, but I really enjoyed that Kloempken/Paluszek match.
