This show was televised on Fox Sports 1. The USBC, PBA, and Fox own all the rights, I do not. This upload is for those that don't have that channel available and would like to watch the show.
Chris Via of Springfield, Ohio, has been on an amazing run in major events, and he's now one win away from making the U.S. Open the first title of his Professional Bowlers Association Tour career.

The 29-year-old two-hander completed a memorable climb up the U.S. Open standings Saturday night at the National Bowling Stadium with a 266-237 position-round win over left-hander Jakob Butturff of Tempe, Arizona, to lock up the No. 1 seed for Sunday's championship round.

The show will air live on FOX Sports' FS1 at 2 p.m. Eastern as part of the 2021 PBA Tour television schedule. The event is considered a major on the PBA Tour, and the winner will take home the coveted green jacket and a $30,000 top prize.

Butturff, the No. 2 seed for Sunday's show, will make his third U.S. Open stepladder appearance in five years. He finished his 56 games this week with a 13,269 total. He was the runner-up in 2017 and 2018 as the top seed.

Via and Butturff will be joined in the finals by No. 3 Anthony Neuer of Lewisburg, Pennsylvania (13,190), No. 4 Jason Sterner of Rochester, New York (13,131), and No. 5 Cristian Azcona of Puerto Rico (13,117).

  1. Had a bowling tournament so I missed the broadcast live, and I’ve been trying super hard to avoid spoilers for this show, thank you πŸ™Œ

    1. I had a tournament too. Not a high pressure one so we were bowling when the 7-10 happened. I was watching during the matches.

    1. @Colin DeGuzman mine did, I thought I was dreaming when it first happened. He should have earned some money when he did that.

    2. @Nic G He’s also the first to convert the 7-10 on a Brunswick GSX Pinsetter on TV, the Pinsetter that was difficult to get any pins out.

    1. @Tom Y i was talking about the 7-10 conversion. That’s the first time the 7-10 was converted on TV in the 21st century.

    2. Every action is history. Some people wouldn’t consider that history, but people who are fanatics about bowling considered it history

  2. That was an amazing 7-10 conversion. It has been very close so many times but I’m glad to see Neuer convert it.

  3. Also Congratulations to Jason Belmont’s Fourth Child. Another little Belmo coming into the world to make a name for him/herself and the family. #CongratulaionsBelmo

  4. Anyone got an idea as to why Neuer’s shots weren’t shown with strike track? I’d honestly love to see the location and revs of that kid. Props to him

    1. I think since the bowling ball is too dark, I know the strike track wasn’t able to detect Anthony Simonsen’s ball one show since it was too dark, same with Maldonado

    2. My guess would be because ESPN wants to hype up the more modern styles. Neuer would have a higher speed and rev rate than anyone else on the show and he has a classic power form much like Steve Cook

    3. I believe its that the bowling balls they used were old so they couldn’t show up on the strike track. I could be wrong, but I think that’s what Randy said on a telecast with the Grenade Simonson used.

  5. Chris via made most of all the major shows this year already. Imagined if he had won all of them.
    Congrats Chris !!

  6. Randy: I dont want to see urethan going down the lane every week!

  7. Fun fact about conversion rates :
    7-10=0.8% (57:50)
    3-7-9=0.1% (1:20:14)
    4-6=0% (48:10)
But this still doesn’t cast 57:50 into shades. That was lit πŸ”₯ 😎

    1. Another 2 hander catches and surpasses belmo still think hes the greatest ever no it was the gimmick responsible for enough of an advantage for him to dominate not saying he wasnt great but to me all the ones catching up to him tells me the rest of the story
