These balls nowadays just destroy the oil on the lanes and mess up things so fast. But these guys are good regardless. I remember bowling in a tournament and thought I had a decent shot in practice, but by the middle of the first game I was lost, hang point and then became afraid to even get the ball on, and then early hook. I was lost and never even got close to figuring things out.
My prediction is Malott is going to retire after this year.
I say this as a guy who has back problems. Just going though a normal life is hard, but stepping up to a professional level? I hope I’m wrong. _…but I don’t think I am._
Looks like Via is hanging up in the thumb hole a bit. I wonder which adjustment he’ll make to get out clean. It takes skill to know exactly how to get a good feel and a clean release. It’s a vital part of real bowling.
It’s a vital part of commenting on bowling to notice that Chris Via is a 2-hander. As such, he does not even have a thumb hole in his balls. So your observation that he’s hanging up in the thumb hole? Stop smoking those magic mushrooms, or learn about bowling. 2-handers don’t use thumb holes.
Kimberly: “Does anybody call you Mr. 100?”
TD: “Not anybody that I like.”

Thanks for the uploads living in Australia I canβt watch the pba shows
Huge thanks for posting this!
These have to be the most difficult lane conditions weβve seen in a while on tv. They seem to missing more often too, I wonder why.
They broke the lanes down in the worst way possible
@Anders B yes like they always do with any televised finals
@Anders B sure, and your point is?
I love how hard these conditions are.
Big NASTY is lofting that ball ππΎ
That 9 pin to Stu was wrong and shaking its head saying βIβm not gonna fallβ π
Wow, that wiggle did him dirty.
Respect to beef for using the Belmo spare ball (like me!)
Was shocked Jake missed both the 6 and 10.
Great sportsmanship by Via for giving Malott one last hurrah. I shedded a few tears when this happened.
I’m glad I wasn’t the only one
Via is a class act and a terrific bowler. I expect him to win many more titles in the coming years.

I love the jokes with Norm about how small he is against the giant Malott.

From watching bowltv that is a major understatement! Lol
36:25 “Jakob, do you got a nickname?”

Having Norm Duke as an add-on commentator was a great move by the PBA. DUUUUKE!
