Alex George takes lead in Regular Singles with 848 series at 2022 USBC Open Championships

Alex George of Wichita, Kansas, rolled games of 290, 279 and 279 for an 848 series at the South Point Bowling Plaza on July 5 to take the lead in Regular Singles at the 2022 USBC Open Championships in Las Vegas.

After a spare in the first frame of Game 1, George delivered 19 consecutive strikes before leaving a 10 pin in the eighth frame of Game 2. He rolled 12 more strikes in a row to step up in his final frame with a chance to break the tournament's all-time record of 862 set by USBC Hall of Famer Bo Goergon in 2009.   3. Wish I coulda bowled. Cant afford the travel out there from the east coast. I think I coulda won some $$$$ this year.

    1. Its not that expensive, I traveled from Ohio in May. Just have to plan for it and try and get good deals.
