About the Coach:
Walter Ray Williams, Jr. currently holds the record for all-time PBA Tour career titles (47) and total PBA earnings (over $4.3 million). He is a seven-time PBA Player of the Year winner and has won at least one PBA Tour title in 17 consecutive seasons. Through the 2012 season, he bowled 87 career 300 games in PBA competition. Walter Ray was inducted into the PBA Hall of Fame in 1995 and into the USBC Hall of Fame in 2005. Williams is also a nine-time World Champion in pitching horseshoes (three junior titles and six mens titles) and is a member of the World Horseshoe Pitching Hall of Fame. Currently, Walter Ray Williams, Jr. still competes on the PBA National and Senior Tours, and was awarded the PBA Senior Player of the Year for 2012.

  1. This is advice on how to bowl if you never bowled before. Use the arrows is great advice and its also common sense.

    1. Saw Nose bowlers aim wherever they need to in order to get results. sometimes i look in a specific area in between the dots and the arrows in order to throw my ball wider. sometimes i aim further down the lane to keep my ball inside more

  2. I just look at the back marks or back boards on the lane and try to hit them every time for strikes and spares.

  3. I remember during a telecast years ago Walter Ray talking to himself after a bad shot that he laid the ball down on the wrong board. While I may change the angle I am throwing the ball depending on the break point, I would look at the board where I was laying the ball down at so when I laid the ball on the proper board, it would follow the oil line into the pocket.

  4. I use the fowl line. I have onLy been bowling regularly since last summer. Starting in league i averaged 120. In the last few weeks from targeting exactly where i need to release the ball by using the dots at the fowl line i am more consistent in my throws and easily bowl @ 200 now
