Friday Five – 2021 PBA Player of the Year Voting Results

Friday Five, December 24, 2021 – The voting results for the top five of the 2021 Chris Schenkel PBA Player of the Year race. Votes are cast by PBA membership and veteran bowling writers. Percentages don't add up to 100% as there were other players receiving votes.

Kyle Troup won two titles and nearly $500,000 on his way to 69% of the votes and the PBA Player of the Year Award. François Lavoie, who received 10% of the votes, won the Kia PBA Tournament of Champions and over $370,000. Chris Via (8%) bowled two televised 300 games in addition to his win in the U.S. Open. Tom Daugherty (6%) won twice during the World Series of Bowling, including the PBA World Championship. Sam Cooley (2%) won his first title in the PBA Cheetah Championship and finished second in the PBA Playoffs, bowling a 300 game in the race-to-three-points championship match.

  2. I love this sport. Just because even after losing, guys are still pals.
    At 7:50, Chris rolls a 300 and Tackett, instead of whining or getting angry, congratulates him and gets hyped as well/

  3. Tom Daugherty was so underrated this year. Much deserved and hope he goes for another major in the 2022 season.

  4. Chris via shoots 2 televised 300’s in a year, wins a major, makes every major show, and only gets 8% of votes. Disrespect
