  1. The PBA is dead. During the 2005 season more than 15 events were held during that year. Now, we have had almost a month without bowling, and the events to come will soon be ending after the PBA league in the summer. We want more bowling, we need more events televised, not on some crummy BowlTV app where only serious viewers get the chance to watch. PBA, please air more.

    1. It’s not exactly up to the PBA… they can demand more air time all they want but they’ll only get it if FOX gives it to them. TV time isn’t cheap and the PBA just doesn’t make enough money to justify continuous TV coverage. It’s not as if the TV time is somehow available and the PBA is just choosing not to use it. They’d air every event if they could.

And I know this is a matter of personal opinion but I wouldn’t write off BowlTV as “crappy” just because it’s not television. Those guys put a lot of work into those shows and they’re very knowledgeable about the game, plus there aren’t any annoying commercial breaks so there’s that lol 🙂 I get it, everyone wants TV bowling, but BowlTV ain’t THAT bad.

    2. @TheBoeingRailroader Look at the other sports events being aired on FOX and bowling, see how unbalanced they are? With bowling not being a fairly viewed sport on TV it’s no different that the PBA cannot air anymore, and the organization can dispute that put more events. About BowlTV, you have to pay a subscription and BowlTV has a lower quality, and it just doesn’t feel the same with FOX and the lighting and the strikes and the commentators. Thanks for your comment!

    3. I’ve been saying this for a couple years now. There used to be like 30 TV events a year. Now just down to like 5 or so a year. All of em being a month and a half in between. Idk how they expect to grow viewership that way

  2. Why is the PBA doing events off TV. They are literally so irresponsible for this sport and are ruining it.

  3. The Friday five moments that featured the recent Players that won Pba Player of the Year was amazing especially with the bowlers that featured like Jason Belmonte, Kyle Troup, Andrew Anderson, E.J. Tackett, and Sean Rash.
